Summer happenings

We have had a lot going on lately. Olivia started blast ball practice last week, it's somewhat like tee ball but they only have to run to one base. Practice outside in this August heat was brutal, she did really good considering. Easton had more fun than the 3-year olds. The heat did not phase him one little bit. I think he's definitely going to be our baseball player.

What a natural!
We took Olivia to her first baseball game in Frisco. When we arrived she didn't realize we would be sitting and watching other people play, she thought she was going to be playing. I wasn't sure how she would do in the heat but she ended up having a great time.

She was being super silly with her hot dog. We also bought her a cup of ice cream and she wanted no part of it. Is this my child?

Having fun reading books with Gammy.

We went to Nana's house last weekend and had a yummy breakfast. She set-up a pretend pond outside with ducks and nets, the kids had so much fun.

Having fun with Pops! This little boy loves his Pops more than anything else.

Olivia loves talking to Tone Tone. They could talk for hours, here they are talking how butterflies and frogs don't bite.

We went to the Highland Village balloon festival for the first time a few weeks ago. It was so neat! I've never seen a hot air balloon in person before. The kids loved it. We weren't sure how well Easton would do since his bedtime is normally between 6:30-7pm but I think there was too much to see. He did so good. This photo was taken at the very end of the night and he was still smiling.

One of Olivia's best friends came over to play, they had so much fun in their matching Frozen night gowns. These 2 are so much alike.

Me and the hubs on a much needed date night with some friends. We decided we have to do this more often, we had so much fun!

It is very rare we go out for breakfast but we decided to go try a place in Denton called Loco Cafe. It was delicious! They are known for their huge cinnamon rolls.

Our kiddos could eat spaghetti every night if we would let them. Don't worry they normally wear clothes when eating but this is how we roll on spaghetti night.

We recently bought Easton his first set of hot wheels, if I would have known how much he was going to love them I would've bought them months ago. I'm still in training as a boy mom.

These 2 love chalk, out of all their toys they would rather play with chalk any day. I just love this picture!

This photo cracks me up. The other day I noticed Olivia was being very quite while playing in her room when she walked into the kitchen like this and said "look at me mommy". She wasn't in her room she had been in our closet. She had my night clothes on her head and around her waist along with Christmas socks on her hands and her daddy's shoes on. She was so proud of herself.

Dentist Appointment and Randomness

This past weekend was full of fun! It was time for Olivia to try going to the dentist again. Last year we took her and it did not go well at all. Over the past few months I've kept reminding her since she's 3-years old now and a big girl it's time to go to the dentist again. A friend at church recommended a cute little dentist office in town that looks like a train station, she said they were great with kids. So I booked her and we went this past Friday. On Thursday night we played pretend where Daddy was the dentist and we practiced and showed her how everything was going to work. On Friday morning she was ready to go. She did amazing and my friend was right this dentist office was awesome! They have thought of every way possible to make a child feel comfortable, we will definitely be taking Easton soon.

They have a huge train outside in front of their office, she loved it!
(please ignore the date stamp on all my photos, I have no idea how this happened)

Gammy came with us too!

She did so good we went to the park and had yogurt afterwards.

This past Saturday we had very cool weather which is rare for Texas in July. We took advantage of it and went to the park. The park is so big and they have it all fenced in so you don't have to worry about your kiddos running off. We can't wait to go back!

I tried all morning to get Easton to look at the camera but he is not interested at all. There is too much to do to stop and look at mom with a camera.

Here are some random photos over the past few weeks.

After Olivia's 3-year well check last month she fell asleep with a root beer sucker in her mouth. She had missed her nap at Mrs. Joni's house and was exhausted. Thought it was precious.

My sweet brown-eyed boy. This little guy melts my heart.

Olivia and Easton could blow bubbles all day and be perfectly content.

Loving our new hats Daddy bought us!

Easton at his 15-month well visit check. He's in the 80th percentile for height and 50th for weight.

Last month he was bit by a mosquito, we learned very quickly he has an allergic reaction to these kind of bug bites. It was a little scary.

Hanging out with cousin Maddox.

Summer fun in the backyard.

My new favorite find is this reduced guilt guacamole from Trader Joe's. I can't stand diet food or anything fake so I didn't have high hopes for this. It is AMAZING!

Me and my main squeeze! We don't have much "us" time anymore but sure love going on a date night when we can. I love this man so much and don't know what I would do without him.

Trying another stab at it!

Here we go, I'm going to try and start blogging again. My babies are growing too fast and I want to document as much as as I can so they can look back and see how much fun we've had over the years. I feel terrible there isn't one photo of our little guy on here. Easton turned 1 on March 18th. He is an absolute joy and has stolen my heart. He is definitely a momma's boy and I love every minute of it. Here are some pics from his 1st birthday session. Olivia also turned 3 on June 19th. I will post a whole update on our little princess soon, she is so much fun and full of life.

Let's just say he doesn't like to get dirty.

We also took some family pics while we were there. Both kiddos did great. As soon as we got started Olivia had to potty which would have been fine if we weren't in the middle of a park. Thank goodness there was a church nearby that let us in. That girl, no one is happy until she's happy.
