Truth

Read the following on Lecrae's Twitter and thought I would share. If you enjoy great beats and amazing faith driven lyrics, you have to check him out!

-No one is mad at the blind man for bumping into them, they show him the right way. Don't be mad at the lost, give directions.

-Next time you look down at people who don't know Christ, remember you used to be them until someone loved you with the truth.

Back In Town. . .

We are now back from our trip to Puerto Rico and even though we are glad to be home, it's always tough to come back from a vacation. This was a much needed vacation and we are so thankful that we were able to experience this beautiful country. The tropical atmosphere on the island was amazing and we did not realize how many mountains there were until we had to drive through them. Note to self: next time, don't try and drive in Puerto Rico. . . .

The food was really good and we were so happy that it did not rain the entire time we were there like it did on our honeymoon last year. All in all, it was a great experience that my wife and I will never forget! Thank you Puerto Rico for your Mofongo, Tostones and Pinchos! We will give the way people drive there a big Fail!! The architecture in Ponce was amazing. The city was founded in 1692 so the buildings there resemble that time period and the colors are vibrant. We had the opportunity to be there when an artisan festival was taking place at Plaza Las Delicias. They had music, food and a bunch of booths with hand made local crafts and art.

We didn't have the time to check out San Juan when we were there but overall we had a great time!

7, Seven, Siete, Sete, Zeven

Today is April 7th and I'm cool with it because 7 is my favorite number. It's the number I wore from t-ball all the way through college. It has a great ring to it, "seven", and if you take the "s" out it's pretty even. Here are some interesting facts about the number 7 that you may or may not know about:
  • The number of stars in the constellations of the Big Dipper and Orion
  • The number of spots on a seven-spot ladybird
  • In Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog, there are seven Chaos Emeralds
  • Retired jersey number of Hall of Fame baseball player Mickey Mantle
  • There are seven days of the week even though the Beatles said it was 8
  • 7-11 and 7up
  • Seven days of Creation (Genesis 1)
  • Seven years of plenty and seven years of famine in Pharaoh's dream (Genesis 41)
  • The fall of the walls of Jericho on the seventh day after marching around the city seven times (Joshua 6)
  • And after the seven days the flood waters came on the earth. (Genesis 7)
  • Seven things that are detestable to the LORD (Proverbs 6:16-19)
  • Seven loaves multiplied into seven baskets of surplus (Matthew 15:32-37)

There are more facts about the number 7 but these are just a few. So enjoy April 7th for it is awesome!

And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done. (Genesis 2:3)
