Summer happenings

We have had a lot going on lately. Olivia started blast ball practice last week, it's somewhat like tee ball but they only have to run to one base. Practice outside in this August heat was brutal, she did really good considering. Easton had more fun than the 3-year olds. The heat did not phase him one little bit. I think he's definitely going to be our baseball player.

What a natural!
We took Olivia to her first baseball game in Frisco. When we arrived she didn't realize we would be sitting and watching other people play, she thought she was going to be playing. I wasn't sure how she would do in the heat but she ended up having a great time.

She was being super silly with her hot dog. We also bought her a cup of ice cream and she wanted no part of it. Is this my child?

Having fun reading books with Gammy.

We went to Nana's house last weekend and had a yummy breakfast. She set-up a pretend pond outside with ducks and nets, the kids had so much fun.

Having fun with Pops! This little boy loves his Pops more than anything else.

Olivia loves talking to Tone Tone. They could talk for hours, here they are talking how butterflies and frogs don't bite.

We went to the Highland Village balloon festival for the first time a few weeks ago. It was so neat! I've never seen a hot air balloon in person before. The kids loved it. We weren't sure how well Easton would do since his bedtime is normally between 6:30-7pm but I think there was too much to see. He did so good. This photo was taken at the very end of the night and he was still smiling.

One of Olivia's best friends came over to play, they had so much fun in their matching Frozen night gowns. These 2 are so much alike.

Me and the hubs on a much needed date night with some friends. We decided we have to do this more often, we had so much fun!

It is very rare we go out for breakfast but we decided to go try a place in Denton called Loco Cafe. It was delicious! They are known for their huge cinnamon rolls.

Our kiddos could eat spaghetti every night if we would let them. Don't worry they normally wear clothes when eating but this is how we roll on spaghetti night.

We recently bought Easton his first set of hot wheels, if I would have known how much he was going to love them I would've bought them months ago. I'm still in training as a boy mom.

These 2 love chalk, out of all their toys they would rather play with chalk any day. I just love this picture!

This photo cracks me up. The other day I noticed Olivia was being very quite while playing in her room when she walked into the kitchen like this and said "look at me mommy". She wasn't in her room she had been in our closet. She had my night clothes on her head and around her waist along with Christmas socks on her hands and her daddy's shoes on. She was so proud of herself.
